Sweet Onion Burger lives up to the hype!! Get the Overachieving SOB, it's got two patties and a bunch of extra goodies including grilled jalapenos (it is spicy). So flavorful and juicy. And well worth the value at 14

Wow! I went to local kitchens for the first time last week in Sacramento and I was blown away and kept thinking about the Birria tacos. So today on the way home from the Bay area, I stopped in at local kitchens in Davis before all of the crazy traffic on the causeway. I didn't want to be starving sitting in traffic today. I ordered the same thing: Birria tacos, the Strawberry Matcha Latte Boba drink and something new today was the fried cauliflower. The fried cauliflower blew me away! the spices, the flavor, the sauce. It wasn't greasy. It was perfectly fried and the chimichurri sauce.( I think that's what it was that was, excellent.) The Birria tacos were even better than the ones in Sacramento because they had more meat. This is quickly becoming my favorite lunch spot! The only nitpicks I have is with the boba drink. The straws they use are terrible. They break as soon as you insert them into the drink and if you're lucky they will last through your whole drink because they will crack. The other nitpick was only with the boba drink in that I didn't get enough oat milk, but that didn't detract from how great the food was.

Yalla Falafel’s Amba Chicken Rice Bowl (pictured) and the Amba Chicken Wrap both SMACK. So good. Like a Mediterranean chipotle bowl. 10/10 one of my favorites in Davis

If you need a late-night study spot, local kitchens is my go-to. The food is good, the staff are kind, and the wifi is free. Not to mention always playing the best playlist and with enough outlets for you and your friends. I recommend the Proper Fries!

Wow the chicken pita from Yalla Falafel was SO GOOD!!! Every bite was amazing! We also had the salad from Flavtrip and it was also fresh and very tasty. Highly recommend a stop here! Highly highly recommended! The concept is that there are a bunch of different restaurant kitchens in one place and you order from a screen and its more like a takeaway experience. There is plenty of seating and also a water station.

We ended up eating here after finding that it was open pretty late on the weekend, and are we glad we did! It’s definitely great if you’re looking for a place with a variety of unique cuisines, from deep-dish square pizza to Greek food! Although it’s certainly a bit pricey, the food is definitely delicious and the atmosphere is very open and inviting! Overall, we enjoyed stopping by here and would definitely come again! The lady behind the counter was also very nice!

I tried the Bacon SOB from Sweet Onion Burger today. In terms of flavor, I'd say it's on the same level as The Melt (which SOB replaced.) However The Melt had 1/3 lb burgers, while SOB is only 1/4 pound with slightly higher prices. So, in terms of value, it's really not there.

It's a great spot if you have a group that wants something different. You can get all types of different foods at the same place! We got the Nash & Proper Chicken Sandwich along with Vietnames Egg Rolls! I will definitely be back!
